as potatoes are believed to be a bad choice. According to the
misconceptions and mistaken beliefs of many health professionals,
carbohydrates are supposed to be no-no foods and every white food
including the white sugar and bread are considered to have high
glycemic index and bad for our bodies. Since these foods have earned
a reputation of responsible for weight gain and have high content of
calories, most of the fitness experts would advise you to stay away
from these foods. In fact they are encouraging to use brown bread,
brown sugar or brown rice but discourage only the white. On the
contrary, white foods should not be excluded from our diets entirely.

I would like to kill one myth about the abdominal muscles and your tummy.

Most people do complicated ab workouts like crazy as they want to get rid of the fat around their belly. But let me give you just one question: what is a fat belly? Is it muscle or is it body fat?

Exactly: it is body fat. And why exactly do you want to train your abs? to get a flat stomach right, but do you really think that training your abs alone will scare the body fat away or transfers the body fat into mussels?(another myth …)

No, if you want a flat stomach, you must first concentrate on burning fat.
Only when your total percentage of body fat has dropped, you can concentrate on strengthening your abdominal muscles. You may also do both at once, but understand that performing abdominal exercises alone will not reduce your body fat.

You can train your abs, (and therefore they will become stronger and your tummy will hang less).but if you want to reduce body fat, you have to modify your diet, it doesnt make any sense to do good ab workouts and then when you’re done to go out and visit mc Donald.
